It is easy to think of Las Vegas only as the place where you go to either win or become separated from your money, and even though the town is built around that, there're various nice things to do for those who don't like gambling. Non-gamblers might be unwilling to admit it, but Las Vegas has a world of wonderful things to do besides gambling. I love to find cheap Las Vegas packages and then enjoy my selection of the many offerings around the town and adjoining areas.

Fine, apart from the gambling, you simply described Las Vegas. Even outdoor types can find some fantastic activities with places like Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead, or the Grand Canyon not too far-away. There is world-class golf, skiing, hiking, boating and fishing. And with all of the cheap Vegas packages available, you can enjoy all of these things for significantly less than any other holiday places.
Personally, I love the food. With all the themed casino hotels from all over the world, and the world-class chefs, including the $1.99 shrimp cocktail at the Golden Gate Casino, oh and I can not leave out the endless parade of buffets, it's a food lover's paradise. Whenever I am in Vegas, I choose the buffets that I am going to indulge in as part of my Las Vegas experience. For example, if one day I desire to do some very good and really economical sport eating, I might start with the $5.95 breakfast buffet at the Palms, showing up at 10:00 or 10:30 so I can get in on the lunch buffet also for no additional charge. Then, when I lastly get hungry later on in the evening, I'll go somewhere like the Slots-A- Fun that is adjacent to Circus Circus for a large 99 cent hotdog. And even though we are not discussing gambling in this article, I've to throw in the fact that Slots-A-Fun still has $2.00 craps and $1.00 Blackjack.
Las Vegas also is famous for the world class entertainment, but some people do not go beyond the big headliners to discover the world of inexpensive but top notch performers and entertainers that abound in Las Vegas. For instance, there is the afternoon Mac King Comedy Show at Harrah's Casino that is guaranteed to delight the children as well as the grown-ups, and is a bargain at 25 dollars. If you love magic by the way, Las Vegas is the town for you.
